SnowBall, A Cool Winter’s Eve now presented by Intega IT

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
OTTAWA, January 30, 2025: The Snowsuit Fund, the Ottawa charity providing winterwear to disadvantaged children, announced today that Intega IT has signed a three-year agreement to become the Presenting Sponsor of its annual SnowBall gala. The sponsorship begins with this year’s event and continues through to the 2026/2027 seasons.
Now in its fifth year, SnowBall, A Cool Winter’s Eve, is The Snowsuit Fund’s signature event. Taking place at the Ottawa Art Gallery on February 12th, SnowBall is a vibrant, all-inclusive multi-chef cocktail party. The annual event will see more than 400 guests moving between three floors of unique and distinct experiences that include chef stations and bars, live entertainment, beauty bars, and live and silent auctions.
Providing a culinary experience like no other, SnowBall features some of Ottawa’s top chefs including: Lizardo Becerra (Raphaël), Chanaka Amarakoon (Feast + Revel - Andaz Byward Market), Wesley Boodhram (Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Ottawa), David Godsoe (Eighteen), Devin Marhue (Thyme & Again), Samantha Paquette (Heart & Crown), Billy Alexander (Mādahòkì Farm) and James Bratzberg (Norca & Jackson - Le Germain). Cocktails and zero-proof options are provided by beverage partners that include: Kichessipi Beer, Dunrobin Distilleries, Charlotte, Casa Dea Estate Winery and Split Tree.
Attendees will also enjoy the music of Ottawa’s premier party band The Electric Company, as well as DJs Andrew Carter and Rise Ashen. Proceeds from the gala support the purchase and distribution of warm snowsuits to underserved children in the community.
“Our team is always committed to giving back and building a strong community. I just love this event and this charity we have been supporting for years. We’re thrilled that as presenting sponsor we are directly helping ensure that every Ottawa child has access to a warm snowsuit. A snowsuit is a simple yet effective way to leave a lasting positive impact on a child’s life,” said John Robinson, President and CEO of Intega IT.
“John Robinson is a business leader who cares deeply about supporting the community. We’re incredibly grateful for Intega IT’s generous support which could not have come at a better time,” said SnowBall co-chair Jon Sinden. “We have already distributed more than 19,000 snowsuits this season, which is nearly 3,000 more than our annual average. This partnership will expand our reach and strengthen our ability to help even more families,” added fellow co-chair Lauren Parkes.
This new sponsorship marks an increased commitment from Intega IT who have been providing cash and in-kind donations to The Snowsuit Fund for several years. Intega IT is among a growing list of new and returning corporate sponsors that help The Snowsuit Fund keep Ottawa children warm. New SnowBall sponsors include BMO Nesbitt Burns, Mirabel Management and Ottawa Titans. The Snowsuit Fund is thrilled at the return of Humen Kind, Norton Rose Fulbright LLP, BUMP and the Senators Community Foundation among many others.

The Snowsuit Fund purchases and distributes 19,000 snowsuits annually to children 15 years and younger from low-income families living in Ottawa. Every child deserves a warm snowsuit to play outside, stay healthy, and feel a sense of belonging. Sadly, for many families, purchasing warm winter clothing is a necessity they cannot afford, as basic needs like food and utilities take priority. A snowsuit can do more than just protect against the cold—it can change lives. A single snowsuit can open the door to outdoor play, fostering better health, increased confidence, and even improved academic performance. It can give a child self-esteem, pride, and a sense of inclusion—qualities that not only benefit the child but also strengthen the family and, ultimately, the entire community. The Snowsuit Fund is almost entirely powered by volunteers and the community. The Snowsuit Fund receives no government funding and relies entirely on the generosity of countless caring groups and individuals who give their time, money and talent to keep the doors open.
