Ottawa May 27, 2024: Today, Tim Hortons Ottawa owners presented a very large cheque to Ottawa’s Snowsuit Fund.

The second annual Springtime Tim Hortons® Smile Cookie Campaign, which supports The Snowsuit Fund, raised $334,067.00. Every dollar from the sales of the iconic and delicious chocolate chunk cookies will fund the purchase of 6,682 snowsuits for children from low-income Ottawa families.

"We're so proud and humbled that Ottawa Tim Hortons guests have once again shown incredible support for the Smile Cookie campaign, and this important charity” says Bill Houldsworth, Ottawa Tim Hortons restaurant owner.

Across Canada and the United States, this Tim Hortons Smile Cookie Campaign raised over $18.8 million supporting over 600 charities and community groups.

The first-ever Smile Cookie campaign in 1996 raised funds to support Hamilton Children's Hospital. Since then, the annual charitable campaign has raised close to $130 million for charities and community groups that are selected every year by Tim Hortons restaurant owners.

About The Snowsuit Fund

Operating in Ottawa for over 42 years, The Snowsuit Fund provides essential warmth to children from low-income families by distributing over 16,500 snowsuits annually. Ottawa winters are cold and these snowsuits ensure that all children, regardless of economic circumstances, can safely enjoy outdoor play, which is vital for their mental health, physical activity, and overall development. The Snowsuit Fund receives no government funding and relies entirely on the generosity of caring individuals and groups to keep doors open and Ottawa children warm.
